Vinyl Fencing

Everything You Need to Know About Vinyl Fencing

Vinyl is a popular building material used for its sturdiness durability and weather resistance. Vinyl is a plastic that can be molded to resemble other materials such as wood. This is what makes is a popular material—all the beauty of wood with none of the maintenance.

There is one thing you need to know about vinyl before you build a fence out of it. And that is… vinyl comes in two varieties. New, or virgin, vinyl and recycled vinyl. Now, I’m hesitant to say that recycled vinyl is bad. We both know that recycling is a good thing. However, there’s an extremely undesirable characteristic of recycled vinyl that you need to be aware of before you build your fence out of vinyl.

But first I have to tell you about another popular characteristic of vinyl and then it will make sense. One of the most popular features of vinyl is the assortment of colors that it comes in.

Beware though, because vinyl can’t be painted so make sure you like the color you choose.

Which brings us to what you need to know about recycled vinyl.

Now for the surprise: most recycled vinyl is blue.

Now, this doesn’t mean you can’t get recycled vinyl in all the colors available. What’s important to know that under the top layer—it’s  blue.

This is important to know because if your recycled vinyl fence gets scratched—which it will—it exposes the blue underneath the top layer. And there’s nothing you can do about it!

On the other hand, virgin vinyl is the same color all the way through. If your fence gets scratched—again, which it will—you’ll hardly be able to notice.

There’s one more thing you need to know about vinyl fencing. The life span of a vinyl fence depends on the weight of the material. Light weight thin vinyl has a life span of 5-10 years. Where quality material will easily last 20 years plus. Which would you rather have?

What doesn’t work and have lots of good ideas to help you come up with the perfect solution to your fencing needs. You don’t stay in business 23 years of you do a poor job. And you can be confident that we are not a fly-by-night operation and you will get exactly what you want.
  • Consultative sales process – Whoa…what the heck does that mean? What it means to us—and you—is that we work with you. We listen to your needs and concerns to design a plan that works for you and your budget. You will get exactly what you want at a price you think is fair and can afford.
  • Lifetime guarantee on labor – Yes you read it correctly. We offer a lifetime guarantee on our labor. Why can we do this? It’s because over the past 23 years we have learned how to do things the right way. The way that will stand the test of time. We know that in 5 years your fence post won’t be leaning because we used bad concrete. We know that your gate will not start to fall off the hinges because we used poor quality wood and fasteners.

When we build a fence—we build it to last—and we’re willing to put our money where our mouth is.
